Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport 45 years of excellence in education One of the major universities in Egypt and the Arab world The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is a regional non-profit institution that was established in 1972 as a specialized organization of the League of Arab States in the areas of education, scientific research, training and consultation. Over the last 45 years, AASTMT has expanded from its main headquarters in Alexandria to Cairo, Aswan, Port Said, Lattakia in Syria, and most recently in Smart Village in 6th of October Disctrict. AASTMT offers a wide range of internationally and regionally accredited postgraduate and undergraduate programs in a variety of disciplines such as Maritime Transport, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Language and Communication, Computing and Information Technology, International Transport and Logistics as well as Fisheries Technology and Aquaculture. International Partners and Accreditation: The College of Management and Technology students have the chance to enroll in the prestigious University of London Program (London School of Economics LSE). LSE holds the second place worldwide in Social Sciences and up to 16 Nobel Prize winners have been either LSE staff or alumni while 37 past or present world leaders have either studied or taught at LSE. The College of Management and Technology students as well as the College of International Transport and Logistics students may opt to enroll in Cardiff Metropolitan Programs which offer a dual degree with this leading institution in the United Kingdom. Moreover, the College of Language and Communication graduates are awarded a dual degree from Autonoma University of Barcelona which is a prominent institution in Spain. AAST is continually expanding its affiliations with distinguished universities in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe to offer students versatile study options. Students can choose to either go for a study-abroad or join one of the international programs at AAST. AASTMT is the only Arab/Egyptian institution in Egypt to succeed in accrediting its Engineering Programs from the United States of America by the prestigious ABETS (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) as well as accrediting its Architecture Engineering Program from the United Kingdom from RIBA (the Royal Institute of British Architects).
