The emergence of the university
In 1975, the College of Education was established in Fayoum as one of the University of Cairo colleges, and in 1976, the Faculty of Agriculture, Fayoum was established, and in 1981 established the College of Engineering and in 1983, the presidential decree was issued considering the university branch of Fayoum, an independent branch of Cairo University. And finally achieved the dream of the people of Fayoum the issuance of Presidential Decree No. (84) for the year 2005 to establish Fayoum University and then issued Presidential Decree No. (193) for the year 2005 the establishment of the Faculties of Medicine and Antiquities and Alaqrarn culminated in the decision of the appointment of Prof. Dr. / Jalal Mustafa Said president of Fayoum University.
At present, the university comprises 20 colleges which are as follows: Education, Agriculture, Engineering, Social Work, House of Science, Science, Tourism and Hotels, quality education, archeology, medicine, arts, Computer and Information, Education Early Childhood, College of Nursing, as well as the Technical Institute Nursing, Institute of Research and Strategic Studies of the Nile Basin Countries, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Law and Sports Education.
The university campus has an area of 50 acres and is located in the university district of Fayoum city.
The new campus on an area of 100 acres in the new Fayoum area.
The university administration building includes the office of the university president and his deputies.
The Grand Ballroom and its capacity are (1000) chairs and are also equipped with the latest sound equipment, lighting and central air conditioning.
University cities, which accommodate about (4500) students and students and achieve the largest intake of university students between the Egyptian universities.

Future Vision of the University
