Mavericks, the first blended learning school in Egypt. Mavericks Purpose: They strive to empower our children to become true mavericks. Mavericks are those who think for themselves, are independent and solve the world’s toughest problems. They also aim to empower our student’s parents because they share our same values, which are investing in their children’s lives and providing them with affordable high-quality education. Mavericks Vision: Mavericks’ vision is millions - if not billions - of happy and successful mavericks who solve the world’s most complex problems. They aspire to create a global network of micro-schools that provide high-quality education at an affordable cost for all children without any financial, societal, ethnic, geographic or disability barriers.
Mavericks’ mission is to operate a network of micro-blended schools that targets students all around the world and offers personalized learning that respects their strengths, preferences and interests. They work to broaden every Mavericks student's horizons by connecting them globally with other cultures from around the world. How Mavericks stands out
Giving your child the education they deserve is a big responsibility, and we know you take it seriously.
their open house approach means various facts:
They are open to all children. They can pursue individual learning paths.
The whole house is accessible to all children for as long as possible. They do not place children in a closed classroom for years.
They believe kindergarten is an open door to the world. They aim to provide children with as many real-life experiences as possible.
Educational areas are open and available all day long. They do not give children lessons every hour; however, we offer educational areas in different rooms that all run at the same time.
Their structure is open for play because we know that children from the age of 4 to 6 learn through playing. We like to call it the playing learning child.
Learning Steps Some call it the school curriculum, but we call it the individual curriculum because it is not the same curriculum for everyone. Each child achieves his/her learning steps at different times and in different ways. Maria Montessori called this curriculum concept “the prepared environment.” In this concept, the prepared teacher is the most important component. The individual curriculum is developed within our educational goals and the child's interests. Observation Firstly, They believe that all children are interested in learning. They want to feel important to us, express themselves and explore the world. All children are interested in letters, writing, reading, counting, sorting/classifying, measuring and comparing. Performing those tasks daily makes them proud. Secondly, we have a detailed observation system that includes assessment, questions about their interests, themes, friends and learning stories. Theirteachers observe all students and share their observations. Assessment They have diverse and detailed observation material. They also work with Common Core questions for assessment. KG assessment areas are:
Gross motor skills
Fine motor skills
Language skills and early literacy
Natural science skills and interests
Musical skills and interests
