MCE is the first British international school in Egypt to work in partnership with a leading independent British school. Setting up in September 2016, Malvern College is currently catering to Egypt, from kindergarten to year 11. We will continue to grow into a full year high school on an annual basis. We offer International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and internationally recognized qualifications before university including "Levels". The college also applied successfully to the International Baccalaureate Organization to become a candidate school with the aim of introducing the International Baccalaureate Program to our students starting in August 2019.
MCE is a small school. However, we are fortunate to be able to welcome more than 150 years of teaching experience from the Mother School, Malvern College in the UK. They provide regular inspections based on a range of high academic standards that we must demonstrate commitment to, as well as regular visits to the school to provide educational insight and experience. We are proud to be a family member of the Malvern International College and have close relationships with both the UK Malbrunn College in the UK and other international schools in Malvern, anywhere else in the world.
The college was initially opened in August 2016 to serve over 300 students from preschool to ninth grade. In September 2018, the college began its third year of activity with 660 students, and opened a 11-year section and a sixth form, A-Levels, was introduced for the first time. The College offers the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in addition to internationally recognized qualifications for A levels. In April 2016, the College also applied to IBO to become a candidate school with the aim of introducing the International Baccalaureate Program to our students starting in August 2019. Our full application included a process of consultation, creation and review of a wide range of policies and documents, Adopting IBO values and spirit in the school curriculum. A recent visit by the International Bureau of Research will take place in early 2019 in order for the College to explain to the Office of External Relations how it will meet the requirements to become a global IB school licensed.

They provide regular inspections based on a range of high academic standards that we must demonstrate commitment to, as well as regular visits to the school to provide educational insight and experience. In Malvern, our pupils always come first. The college offers a friendly, personal and caring environment that focuses on the student where your child will be known, and his or her education is designed to maximize development. Our goal is to provide an appropriate and balanced level of academic challenge, which will enable each student to realize his potential, while ensuring that all children in our care are educated, happy, confident, well-motivated and passionate about life in the 21st century.
MCE is optionally academic, and follows an improved form of the English National Curriculum, which enjoys an excellent reputation throughout the world. Our focus is on learning and how students learn, not just content. We attach great importance to the ability of our students to work collectively, as well as independently, in the development of their thinking. MCE attaches equal importance to intellectual and social development. We focus on four key areas throughout the college: academic excellence. The development of performing arts, commitment to sport, and participation within our society.
Performing arts will be at the heart of the MCE. We intend to provide each student with the opportunity to perform in choirs, orchestras, plays, or complete production, in groups, as part of a group or individual as an individual choreographer.
Participating in sports offers tremendous opportunities to develop social and leadership skills, as well as to enhance physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle for our students. We will encourage our students to participate in a wide range of sports activities in the MCE curriculum, whether competitive or recreational, to discover the fun that comes from group play or participation in an individual event. Tournaments and sporting days will be held on a regular basis. We believe in the benefits of competitive sport in which we play to win and give everything we have, but also learn to accept defeat with dignity and respect worthy of the Malvern students.
Malvern College Egypt strives to be the leading independent co-educational day school of its scale and type in Egypt, and seeks to develop happy, balanced individuals who will achieve personal fulfillment at university, at work and in society at large.
Our core business is learning. The broad curriculum, complemented by an extensive sporting, musical, artistic and dramatic co-curriculum and under-pinned by a strong emphasis on pastoral care, encourages individuals to maximise their potential.
Stimulated and challenged by the Malvern experience, we intend for our students more frequently to exceed expectations than simply to meet them. The emphasis on individual achievement has its counterpoint in our encouragement of teamwork, co-operation and service to others.
We believe it is important for our students to have a firm commitment to deep-rooted values, and to be flexible, pragmatic and open to new ideas. We seek to be inclusive, respecting members of all nationalities and promoting responsible and active citizenship.
We aim to build self-discipline, self-confidence, and to develop communication and leadership skills in our students, who will emerge as lively, articulate young adults ready to contribute widely to the global community.
At MEC we know how important it is to provide our students with the best facilities possible in order to encourage correct learning and socializing in a safe space. We aim to help produce well rounded students and therefore having the correct facilities is vital. In our constantly growing school our facilities are constantly growing to keep up with the needs of our students.
